GLENS FALLS, NY — Tri-County United Way invites community members to participate in its Give & Go Community Food Drive on Saturday, November 14, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Tri-County United Way office, located at 543 Glen Street in Glens Falls.
This convenient curbside collection will help provide local food pantries and nonprofit partners with essential food items to support individuals and families throughout our community. As families face ongoing food costs and seasonal needs, every donation can make a meaningful difference for our neighbors.
Giving is easy. Community members can drive up, remain in their vehicles, and let volunteers unload their donations. Every contribution, big or small, helps strengthen our community and ensure local families have access to essential food items. DOWNLOAD MORE DETAILS HERE.
Non-Perishable Food Items Needed
Special request: Pop-top canned foods are especially appreciated, as they can be opened without a can opener.
We welcome donations of the following items:
- Pasta, Rice & Grains: Pasta, rice, oatmeal, instant dinner mixes, seasoned sides, stuffing, and boxed potatoes
- Canned & Shelf-Stable Foods: Soup, canned vegetables, canned fruit, legumes, canned tuna, and macaroni and cheese
- Breakfast Items: Cereal, granola bars, cereal bars, pancake mix, and syrup
- Snacks: Crackers, pretzels, Goldfish crackers, and popcorn
- Other Essentials: Peanut butter, applesauce, fruit cups, juice, bottled water, and protein or meal replacement drinks such as Ensure
Please donate unopened, shelf-stable items that are within their expiration dates.
Volunteers Needed
We are also looking for community volunteers to help make this event a success. Volunteers will assist with collecting donations curbside, unloading vehicles, sorting food items, and organizing donations for our local nonprofit partners.
