Tri-County United Way offers several programs funded by grants or in-kind donations. It’s one more way we invest in our community!
Among its activities, RSVP boasts a very robust medical transportation program for seniors and those who are disabled.
VITA and MyFreeTaxes.com
These programs resulted in over $3,200,000 in tax refunds coming back to the tri-county community last year.
Teen Excellence Scholarship Program
Our goal is to award $5,000 college scholarships to Teen Excellence Award Honorees who serve as exceptional role models in their community.
The Red Bookshelf Program
To date, over 27,500 new or gently used children’s books have been redistributed throughout the tri-county community to encourage reading!
We have partnered with FamilyWize to offer a no-cost prescription assistance program for individuals and families at over 60,000 pharmacies.
Other food and clothing drives
Often the beneficiary of other food and clothing donations, Tri-County United Way distributes goods received to nonprofit human services agencies throughout the tri-county community.
Emerging Social Needs
We collaborate with other human service, educational, government, and business entities to address changing social needs.
