2017 Recognition Breakfast

Our Recognition Breakfast was held at Mohican Ballroom at The Great Escape Lodge. This annual event is an opportunity to bring together many Tri-County United Way donors to celebrate the end of our fundraising campaign year. It allows us to thank all of the volunteers, donors and community members that contribute to the success of the Tri-County United Way.

This year we were able to highlight many businesses and individuals that donated both time and money to help our supported agencies. This years award recipients are as follows:

Campaign of Distinction: This award recognizes a company for many years of outstanding achievement to the United Way through employee giving, volunteerism and corporate generosity. This year’s recipient is Traveler’s Insurance.

Helping Hand Award: This award was established in 1999 to recognize the school district whose faculty and staff contribute the highest per capita to the Annual Campaign. This year’s recipient is Glens Falls City School District.

Mario Scarselleta, Jr Community Service Award: This award was established in 2000 in honor of Mr. Scarselleta and his may years of service to the tri-county area, its union workers and the TCUW. The award is present to the United Steel Workers local that raises the highest per capita contribution to the TCUW Annual Campaign. This year’s recipient is Irving Tissue.

Thomas L. Hoy Award: This award was established to honor and recognize our most distinguished volunteer of the year. This year’s recipient is Six Flags Great Escape.

A special thank you to all donors and volunteers. Without your help we would not be able to support the critical human services provided by our partner agencies!
