Tri-County United Way and Adirondack Thunder Empower Local Youth Through Leadership and Collaboration

Glens Falls, NY – Tri-County United Way in partnership with the Adirondack Thunder, is inspiring the next generation of community leaders through its ‘United in Purpose’ youth leadership collaboration winter initiative.

Now in its second year, this youth-focused program brings students from North Warren Central School, Bolton Central School, and Warrensburg Elementary into hands-on experiences that highlight leadership, teamwork, and community service, showing how collaboration can create real-world impact.

Through school visits across the lower Adirondack region, students were encouraged to build teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills while learning how their collective efforts can create a positive impact within their schools and communities. This initiative reinforces Tri-County United Way’s core values of strengthening communities, cultivating leadership, and empowering young people to make a meaningful difference.

This program reflects the power of partnerships between schools, local organizations and businesses  to create meaningful experiences for youth. By working together, students are introduced to the value of collaboration, civic engagement, and service as tools for building a stronger, more connected community.
