North Country Subaru, a proud member of the Queensbury community, partnered with Tri-County United Way for the “Operation Warm” initiative, donating hundreds of brand-new winter coats to local students in need. The donations, valued at approximately over $34,000, was distributed to eight school districts within Tri-County United Way’s service area and were provided directly to students identified by school leaders as needing support. This collaboration aimed to ensure that children in the region could stay warm and focused on their education during the winter months. Tri-County United Way worked closely with local schools to identify the greatest needs, making sure the coats reached the children who would benefit the most.
As part of the Subaru Loves to Help initiative, this effort demonstrates North Country Subaru’s continued dedication to supporting local youth and those in urgent need within the community. Working closely with Tri-County United Way, the coats will be provided to families and children who need them the most, offering not only warmth but also comfort, confidence, and hope.
“At North Country Subaru, we believe in making a tangible difference in the lives of those around us,” said Eric Lendrum, General Manager of North Country Subaru. “Partnering with Operation Warm and Tri-County United Way allows us to extend a helping hand to children in our community, ensuring they can face the colder months just a little bit warmer.”
“Over the past few months, Tri-County United Way has worked closely with local school administrators to assess and identify families and students who are most in need of essential winter items,” said Laura Jensen, Director of Community Engagement at Tri-County United Way. “Thanks to our partnership with North Country Subaru and the Operation Warm initiative, we were able to directly support local children and families by providing not just new coats, but also comfort, confidence, and hope. We are truly grateful for the support from North Country Subaru and our community, which has made a meaningful difference in the lives of local families.”
The donated coats will be distributed in partnership with area schools that have identified a critical need. Through this initiative, North Country Subaru and Tri-County United Way aim to build a stronger, more supportive community by ensuring that children in need receive the resources to thrive.
