COVID-19 Community Response Fund
The Tri-County United Way COVID-19 Community Response Fund will support relief efforts of organizations addressing unmet basic needs as a result of the corona virus. Designed to provide additional, critical funding and resources to existing assistance programs and local nonprofit agencies, the fund will help our neighbors in Warren, Washington and northern Saratoga Counties.
100% of the funds donated to the COVID-19 Community Response Fund will be distributed. The fund will prioritize organizations addressing basic needs in the Tri-County area. The first allocation of funds will be used to help food pantries respond to a rapidly-growing demand for food and commodities. Funds will be released on a rolling basis as fundraising continues throughout the outbreak and recovery phases of the crisis. We have the systems in place to get the funds to the most affected people as quickly as possible, with a minimum of red tape.
The total amount in the fund, contributors to the fund and use and impact of the fund allocations will be available at www.tricountyunitedway.org. Donors may donate online to the COVID-19 Community Response Fund at www.tricountyunitedway.org/donate or send checks to Tri-County United Way, 696 Upper Glen Street, Queensbury, NY 12804. Please note your contribution to the COVID-19 Community Response Fund on your check.
Whether you are a small business or a major corporation, you can join other local organizations that make a difference in our community by running workplace campaigns. We offer simple and convenient ways for your employees to donate to local, worthwhile causes ensuring their contributions are directly impacting the lives of people in their own community.
We can provide resources and guidance to help you develop a customized fundraising campaign that aligns with your company’s goals and social values. If you would like more information on how to set up a workplace campaign, please contact Kristin Chlopecki, Director of Resource Development, at [email protected].
In Kind Donations
In times of need we accept new and gently used items such as clothing, furniture, toys, and office equipment as in-kind donations. We collect the items and work with our supported agencies to get your donation directly to individuals and families in need.
If you have an in-kind donation, we ask that you please contact our office first at (518) 793-3136 before bringing items directly to our office as holding space is limited. Thank you.
